Recognized today as STA Packaging Tapes, we are a worldwide leader in carton sealing applications (carton sealing tape, hand dispensers, and case sealers). Founded in Southern California in 1976, under the name TA Industries, Inc., we have matured into the world’s largest manufacturer of water based acrylic packaging tape.

In 1991, TA Industries, Inc. became a part of Sekisui Chemical Company, Ltd., and subsequently became known as Sekisui TA Industries, Inc. We are now a subsidiary of Sekisui America Corporation, a subsidiary of Sekisui Chemical. Our joining with Sekisui, one of our largest customers, guaranteed them, as well as all our valued distributors, the quality of our tape would never diminish and would always be available. Sekisui knew this could only be accomplished if we were allowed to operate under our own guidelines, as we had been for the previous 15 years.

As a result of their financial support and a shared ethic of quality, we have remained on the cutting edge of R & D. Our joint rigid manufacturing standards and state of the art equipment ensure all of our products are of the highest quality roll after roll after roll.

In 1996, we opened a second manufacturing plant in Rogersville, TN. This expansion enabled us to double our production capacity and better serve the mid-western, eastern, and southern U.S. markets. Additionally, we can now offer 24-hour shipment nationwide of most standard products.

We do not believe tape is tape, and just anyone can make tape. For any company to be successful, it takes years of experience, and an ethic about quality, to achieve the success that should be required of a reliable supplier. We have blended both the art and science of manufacturing tape that has proven its merit for more than 26 years. For this reason, we have coined the phrase, "Proven Performance" for our Supreme line of acrylic carton sealing tapes.
